    King Abdullah attends tactical military exercise

    King Abdullah, Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), participated in a tactical military exercise conducted by the Central Military Region in collaboration with the Eastern Military Region’s 90th King Abdullah I Mechanized Brigade, the 77th Marine Infantry Battalion, and the Combat Boats Group. A number of senior officers met King Abdullah upon his arrival at the location of the drill, including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti.

    King Abdullah attends tactical military exerciseThe exercise, which aims to improve the readiness, planning, and coordination capabilities of various JAF formations and units, was briefed to His Majesty on the status of various operational, logistical, and training issues. A joint exercise involving the King Abdullah II Special Forces Group and the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Brigade/Quick Reaction Force simulated area defence operations using medium-range artillery, anti-tank weapons, and air support by fighter jets and helicopters from the Royal Jordanian Air Force.
