India sends another shipment of 3000 metric tons of wheat to AfghanistanSo far, the government of India has been able to deliver 33,500 metric tons of wheat to Afghanistan in partnership with the World Food Programme. Afghanistan has a very dire need for support, with one third of the population hungry and two million children malnourished. Drought, pandemic, and conflict have worsened the food security situation, and hunger will increase so India’s aid comes at a critical time.
